500 000 visites sur Flickr !
Il y a cinq ans, je découvrais un site de partage de photos appelé Flickr. Un site sympa, avec des clichés d'une grande qualité et une communauté de photographes toujours prête à donner des conseils, proposer une amélioration, apprécier le travail des autres... A force de laisser des commentaires, il m'a été répondu que c'était bien beau de parler du travail des autres, mais que la moindre des choses était de rendre mes photos visibles pour que l'on puisse me rendre la pareil.
J'étais, à l'époque, relativement novice en photo. J'avais un réflexe argentique que j'apprenais, tant bien que mal, à dompter. Progressivement, les commentaires, les remarques, les suggestions faites sur Flickr m'ont appris à progresser, a voir les choses différemment, à m'améliorer ou a explorer de nouvelles techniques. Le recadrage, le HDR, la désaturation sélective, les panoramiques... autant de techniques nouvelles que je n'aurais sans doute jamais essayé sans le site.
5 ans après, j'ai fait un petit bout de chemin, je crois. J'ai un peu progressé, même si je suis encore très loin du niveau de certains photographes, même amateurs, qui sévissent sur le site. Mais la barre symbolique des 500 000 visites me fait vraiment chaud au coeur : au delà des remarques, des commentaires, des ajouts en favori de ceux qui sont inscrits sur le site, j'y vois une forme de reconnaissance, un indice que mes photos plaisent. Et après bien des tentatives, j'ai enfin trouvé un moyen d'offrir à mes photos un débouché et qu'elles ne restent pas simplement à "prendre la poussière" sur mes disques durs.
